It wasn’t a typical affair at the office but rather a touching tribute to a beloved canine member of the police. Sniffer Dog Tara, a Golden Retriever known for her expertise in detecting explosives, retired after spending 12 years in service. The video of the ceremony has gone viral on the internet.

The viral footage showcases Sniffer Dog Tara being honored with a garland. Following this initial tribute, a shawl is draped over her. As additional garlands and shawls were added, the atmosphere was filled with cheers and applause from the police team.

According to the Deccan Chronicle, Tara, born on January 22, 2013, began her journey in service as a skilled explosives detector trained at the Integrated Intelligence Training Academy (IITA) in Moinabad, Telangana. She was later stationed in Adilabad where she diligently served for many years.

During her retirement ceremony, Superintendent of Police Gaush Alam honoured Tara with flowers, acknowledging her invaluable contributions to the department.
